Ok, so I'll go thourgh all the wedding stuff now. This is showers, bachelor&ette party, day itself, etc.
i had two showers. Wait lemme make sure I didn't go through this already ... no i didn't!
The first one was at my Godmother's house, and it was the 'adults' one. one was for people my age, my friends, and one was for gorwnup women who were there on account of being my mother's friends, or related to ryan, or whatever. it was quite fun, there was glorious lemon loaf. I got recipes, AWESOME shower presents -- some ice cream sandwich makers, dude! great food, sunny and hot weather (until crazy rain). Good fun all around.
That is one thing; we got amazing presents. Maybe it is bad of me to say this, but we were floored by how generous everyone was.
Anyway, second shower was really fun, it was so nice to see everyone again! Erin hosted that one, and it was a costume party (OH FREAKING YES) -- literary figures. I came as tinkerbelle. i have pictures of my costume, I'll post them in some huge picture post. and crosslink it when i do, i guess. one is of me on the hood of a car, ha. They had this old fifties-ish car in really bad shape on erin's driveway for some reason, and i posed on it :P. More completely INSANELY wonderful presents from my insanely wonderful friends, much punch, and much more glorious food. You guys all rock. Really makes you appreciate how awesome everyone you know is, getting married.
the bachelor&ette party was a bit of a GONGSHOW. And I never did get any of those kits, girls. Started off hilartious; apparently giving vicky any liquor at all is entertainment for a whole night :D. Erin's dad called me an 80's rock reject -- huzzah! We ended up deciding (after the interlude of HUGE INSANITY) to go to this piano bar. I was delayed and ended up getting their after Mr Duelling Pianos left, which SUCKED. So we just sat around and talked and I had baileys & coffee, which is what i always have, because i am ohsoentertaning.
The next day was the rehersal, which was kind of funny because we hadn't really talked about what everyone was doing since I am lazy. But we got everything sussed and finished u0p, and afterwards we went to dinner/dessert at Jacqueline Suzannes, which is one of the very many restaurants near my parents' house on 9th, which is totally awesome. It was way better than expected, had tons of really good specialty drinks, tons of fun talking to everyone and sitting by the UBERSCARY mannequin at the piano in their window. He is most unsettling, particularly when you walk by and think he's a real person.
OK, I'm cutting it off there since the resistance in this keyboard is higher than i'm used to, and next thing I'd go on to is Wedding Itself. I guess I'll relate that tomorrow or sunday?
