Birthday was yesterday!

My dad came on thursday evening to move me out of residence. we went to dinner and it was really nice to see him again. On friday we moved me out of residence and i got my floor shirt, which i promptly lost :(. That made me really angry, I hope it just got lost in the van. Anyway. so I turned in my key, bought a lot of food with the rest of the money on my mealcard, ended up putting 10 more dollars on my laundry card so I could do one load of laundry (unavoidably, of course), and now I have nothing at Totem Park, everything is in the van on its way to Calgary or here with me in Ryan's room. Also o n friday we went to a really good Greek restaurant.

On wednesday night Ryan decided he wanted to try installing Linux. Unluckily it totally wiped Windows, so he had to take it into futureshop for a total reformat, but he backed everything up so it's fine, really. My computer is still at futureshop getting its optical drive and power button repaired -- the estimate is two weeks so that puts it not this coming tuesday, but the tuesday after. I'll install CS2 on this computer.

The Alice is Falling illustration did get included in Articulate. My drawing teacher gave me really nice feedback and i got all my art back, and yeah ... it's so good to be done and have this month to have fun .. and plan wedding o.O

On Saturday (brithday itself), I had the best birthday I can remember. Ryan and I woke up, my dad came, we went to the Vancouver Aquarium (which I haven't been to yet this year), which was AWESOME and pretty and full of FISHIES. And JELLIES. And starfish and things. And belugas, and an otter, which I thought was hugging a smaller otter. It was just cleaning its foot. Woez. The coolest part was the flooded amazon stuff. We got to see them feed the fishes.

After that we went to Granville Island. We walked around although it was cold and rainy (which sucked becuase it was nice and warm on friday AND today, and it was apparently 23 (?!) in Calgary), to some art shops and DragonSpace, and a garden shop (while Ryan and my dad talked about a boiler :P). Then we went to dinner, and I got B52 coffee, which I didn't get ID'd for, despite getting mistaken for someone less than 16 fwhen we were buying that phone.

We called my mom and I got to talk to her and Joe. The Flames won a game. I believe we are 3-2 this series with Anaheim but, as Ryan's TV card has been awol, i haven't been watching, but now I can.

And Joe got me a paid Devart account :D. Eeeh!!!

Erin -- I didn't get your present, it has not apparently arrived at Calgary yet.

Eeeh! HAPPY BRITHDAY [info]mala_propism!!! I hope it is awesome.

um. IU really want to redeisgn this again, but my computer is at futureshop. Woez. Getting fixed though.

And when it gets BACK, I'm TOTALLY PUTTING CREATIVE SUITE 2 WHICH I GOT FOR MY BIRFDAY ON IT.

OH YES. With Flash 8.

I think I might try screwing with S2.

Anyway. Birthday is on saturday, am immensely excited. Dad is coming to visit and take all my stuff back and will be here tomorrow evening, through to sunday. Am excited about that too, and about getting all my stuff out of Totem. He's also bringing my ralphcheck (FINALLY).

Also, doing taxes online rocks, except then you forget your password. Oops. And I don't know how to make sure they got it, although since I don't have to pay them money it might not matter. Still I have to find my slips and phone them and make sure becuase I would have to redo them as all my tax stuff is on my computer because I didn't get a chance to print anything before the on button broke ... yeah.

and LOOK at this!!!

when I run out of the Ben Nye I've got, man ... because that is about the awesomest thing EVAR.

And I did a tutorial on how to colour red hair, here. Go read it. :P
